Pharma/Medical and Traditional Business
The South Tipperary business scene has a mixture of leading-edge companies (especially in the pharmaceutical and medical sectors) with indigenous businesses (evolved from our agricultural tradition). With a population of 22,000 people and a healthy business scene, Clonmel is the biggest town in South Tipperary county. We have a notable cluster of international pharmaceutical and health care companies based here, which can be attributed to the high level of expertise accumulated by local agencies in handling legal and compliance issues.

Small- to medium-sized enterprises are also well represented in South Tipperary, providing and producing niche services and products.
