South Tipperary is served by two general hospitals and a number of specialist hospitals.
South Tipperary has two general hospitals: St Joseph’s, in Clonmel, and Our Lady Hospital in Cashel. The county has a number of additional hospitals including district, elderly and psychiatric facilities. The designated regional hospitals are Limerick Regional Hospital, to the west, and Waterford Regional Hospital, to the east of the county. Services for the elderly include private and public nursing homes as well as a range of day care centres.
South Tipperary Community Care Centre (Western Rd, Clonmel) is responsible for the management of health care and promotion.
